Our BDL Prize Winners

To all Harriers,

Following the conclusion of the BDL cross-country series last weekend, the prize winners in each of the age group categories have now been announced.

The eligibility criteria was for runners to have completed at least three of the four race series (rather than four out of five races – had the final race not been cancelled). The exception was in the Junior age groups where just two races were required.

Runners’ best three finish positions were added together to give an overall score – with the lowest winning the respective categories.

Continuing the tradition built up over previous league competitions, a number of Belper Harriers are again on the list of winners. Our athletes achieving top three places in their categories are as follows…

Theresa Hempsall – 1st in the VL45 category  (1st/ 1st/ 1st = 3 points)

Malc Weir – 1st in the VM60 category  (1st/ 1st/ 1st = 3 points)

Roger Morgan – 3rd in the VM55 category  (2nd/ 3rd/ 3rd = 8 points)

Many congratulations to all three!!

Others who came close to winning a prize were: Gemma Irvine (4th in the SL category); and Krish Mahadevan (4th in the VM45 category).

Presentations of the individual trophies, along with the men’s and combined team trophies will be made after the Teversal race in May.

The attached document shows details of all those who completed a minimum of three races.
