Club Champs updated

Check out the latest standings on the Club Champs page on the Results tab.

The standings have been updated after the first two races of the BDL summer season. Unsurprisingly, those at the top have completed all four races of the club champs so far.

The leading men are Simon Edwards, Kris Mahadevan and Ed James, separated by less than 5 points! Ruth Keeley has more of a lead in the ladies’ standings, from Rosemary Arris-Pratt and Rachel Clark.

If you’ve competed in any of the club champs races you should find you’ve automatically been entered on the spreadsheet.  Please check to see you’re there and that your details are correct. Age was taken at the beginning of the year.

Remember, to be eligible to win the champs you need to have competed in a BDL race, an off road race and a RunDerby race. For those not entered in the Ramathon, there are a couple more opportunities to tick off a RunDerby race coming up: the Sinfin 10k on 29th May and the Hairy Helmet relays on 17th June. Stay tuned for more details of how to be part of a Harriers relay team.

For those members who are new to the club and didn’t compete in the BDL cross country races at the beginning of the year, there are a couple of off road races in the next couple of months: the 3 Lakes Classic, a brilliant 15 mile race in June, and the ever popular Crich Monument Race, a shorter but equally challenging 10k in July.

Together with the BDL races 4 and 5, this covers all the champs races up until August.  At the time of writing, the Rugby Rover is looking uncertain and may not figure in the champs this year.
