Belper Harriers LEADING the Winter XC League after 3 Races!!!
The BDL results are now posted on webscorer. We had a fantastic race, putting us in a very strong position in the league. At Bramcote the ladies were first, and the men second, giving us 1st place overall for the race. For the league so far, the women are in the top spot, and the men 4th (we had a poor first race). But overall, our combined team is in the lead!! Well run everyone. Belper Harriers AGM – 30th Jan – This year’s AGM will once again be at the Holly Bush in Makeney. The AGM starts at 7.30 prompt, so there’s just time to run there from the BLC 7pm meet, or join the 6.30 off-road run. It’s your opprortunity to get an insight into how the club runs (pun intended), and to contribute if you wish. FREE chip butties for all !
Belper Harriers 2024 Fell Series – Now Live – Hi there folks, Yes the moment you’ve all been waiting for…. announcement of the 2024 qualifying races! Rich Hickling (below) has picked a great selection of local ish races – virtually all around 5 miles so perfect for getting into fell races. They really aren’t that hard, but yes they have climbing in them. All on paths with no navigation …
2024 Club Road Champs Races are Now Live – Hi folks, for those of you who aren’t into the fell races but fancy something more solid under foot, the qualifying races have been announced for this year. 6 races to count including some BDL’s too. Head on over to here and add them to your diaries. All added to the club calendar already tooview qualifying races
Peak District, Weekend Social Runs – The new year has started out with 3 runs on 3 weekends up in the peaks. Sadly they’re organised off facebook or messenger groups and therefore if you’re not on there then you’ll only find out via our wondrous photos on emails like this! The dawn photo at the top of this email and the ones above and below were just some of the great views we had. Thanks to Alan B, Jo and Nicky for organising these.
Belper Adventure Film Festival March 24, Fri 1st March 630-10pm – Following on from last years very successful night where we had around 60 people watching various short films from around the adventure disciplines. Ian Hays compiles a varied selection to inspire and generally make you wanna get off your @rses!

2024 Derwent River Relays – SAVE THE DATE – SAT 6th JULY
Yes this is the only race we organise as a club so please make a note now. We will absolutely be looking for support around morning, lunch or afternoon and friends, children, grannies and dogs are all allowed to come along and help too. Details to follow soon.
