Hi folks,
As you’re probably aware this Tuesday we had our annual AGM. It was well attended (approx 40 members, 25% of the membership) and it was an enjoyable and social evening at The Grapes with most staying afterwards for food, drink and a catchup with running buddies old and new.
Dave Horton put a lovely post onto the WhatsApp community yesterday summarising it nicely…
“Thanks to everyone who attended, and contributed at last night’s AGM. We completely filled the meeting room at The Grapes. I’m delighted that those posts vacated by retiring members have been filled. The chair is now Peter Baker, the secretary is returnee Chris Gilbert, women’s captain is Jess, and Men’s captain is Gordon. Alan remain as treasurer. Please say “Hi” and thank them when you see them, as we couldn’t continue without them. Many others remain committed to other tasks in the club, and a pleasing number have joined the Club Representatives group. Thanks all for the lovely presents of an etched beer glass, beer, and splendid Walsh socks in club colours. All perfect.”
CLUB ACCOUNTS are summarised below – membership fees will increase to £20 and £30 with immediate effect which is passing on the increases we’ve seen each year from England Athletics (most of your membership fee goes to them!)

NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS have clearly been required to fill the vacant posts with Jess stepping in to Ladies Captain, returning member Chris – Secretary and Gordon that of Mens Captain so please say hello next time you see them on a run
THE ENTIRE COMMITTEE can be seen on the Contact / Who’s Who page and you’ll see of course that Pete has stepped into the role of Chair so here’s wishing him luck in the role vacated by Dave.
