We are holding our next Summer Special run on Tuesday next, somewhere a little different- to be precise a run around Newstead Abbey and the pleasant villages of Linby and Papplewick.
Famed (or infamous) as the home of Byron, Newstead Abbey is quite impressive with nice grounds so should give us an inspiring run.
Rachel Clark and I will be leading, two groups as usual with a longer route for those who want it and a base route too. Not many hills either! Hopefully it will be drier than the torrentially soggy recce run Rachel and I did on Monday.
Park at The Hutt pub in Ravenshead NG15 9HJ- this is on the A60. There are car parks either side of the pub so should be plenty of room. Chips, sandwiches and nibbles will be served post run in the pub, we have the use of the conservatory and it will be about £4 per head.
Hope to get a good turnout, brush up on your Byron quotes!!!
